Wearing Men's Jewelry for the Guys that Know Nothing at All

Men’s jewelry can be a tricky thing for a lot of guys. This whole “accessory” thing seems to come like second natural to the ladies, but when we step into a men’s accessory store, we kind of go into a deer-in-headlights mode. You know, the kind of mode where you stand there looking at the collection of men’s jewelry and have absolutely no idea what’s going on. Or, you beeline it for the exit because you, again, have no idea what's going on. Well, we have good news for you. For starters, men’s fashion doesn’t have to be complicated and tedious task. You just need a Zenger crash course. So without further ado, here's everything you need to know about men's jewelry when you know nothing at all.

  1. Keep it Simple

Whatever you do, whatever you buy, whatever style you like – keep it simple. Girl’s can stack on those bracelets like there’s no tomorrow, but the key to men’s accessories is all about minimalism. This can be said for both quantity and style. When in doubt, start with something basic and versatile, like a black beaded bracelet or a leather men’s bracelet. You can wear just one well throughout your wardrobe, and still make a powerful statement, while getting the hang of this whole men’s jewelry thing that is all so new to you. You may even want to wear two, three or maybe even four if the bracelets are simple enough.

Once you’re more confident with your men’s jewelry, you can start rocking edgier styles, such as beaded bracelets with scull stones or an evil eye pendent from the Macrame line.

  1. Compliment the Wristwatch

If you’re wearing a watch, you definitely want to choose men’s bracelets that will compliment it. This will give your look that whole package deal feel, and can make matching and fashion a truly easy task! If you have a gold wristwatch, select beaded bracelets that have gold tones or if you have a leather band, compliment it with a leather bracelet in a similar color. Since men’s jewelry is all about minimalism, a lot of attention will be brought to your accessories. So, you want to make sure they match and look good together.

On the other hand, you don’t want to be too matchy-match, but the Zenger collection has such individual styles, it would be nearly impossible to achieve a look that is anything less than dapper.

  1. Have a selection

You could be that guy that always wears the same leather bracelet every day, but with the Zenger collection, you don’t have to be that guy. Sure – you’re bound to have a favorite that seems to be the ultimate wingman within your wardrobe, but try to give yourself some options. If black is your thing, grab a couple of black men’s bracelets that have something different to offer, so your look isn’t always repetitive. If you’re really ready to go out on a whim here, add something new into your men’s accessory collection. Try some Macrame bracelets that have some shiny pendants (and no, they’re not just for girls), or switch up the materials from beaded bracelets to leather bracelets.

The more options you have within your wardrobe, the quicker you’ll perfect your individual taste. More importantly, the better you’ll rock your dapper style. You want to be able to have men’s jewelry available for every look, and not have to resort to “oh, well I’ll just throw this on because it’s all I have”. The lack of effort will show. So, give yourself choices.

You may not believe it, but that’s all you really need to know to wearing men’s jewelry. Keep things simple, collaborate your wristwatch style with your men’s bracelets, and give yourself options. See how easy it is right now by heading on over to Zenger and picking up the latest men's accessories.

My favorite thing to wear as an accessory, is my Rolex. Lately I have found it really great to wear something with the Rolex. Whether it be a bracelet, a ring, or a chain wearing something with the watch is a great way to add more wow factor. Thanks for the great tips and information!

Size Guide
You can use a measuring tape to measure your wrist. Wrap the tape measure around the wrist on which you plan to wear your ZENGER bracelet. Make a note of the number at the point where the tape meets the 0. To ensure the bracelet fits comfortably, add 0.50 inch. You can then add or subtract according to whether you prefer a loose, exact or tight fit. Below is a picture on how to measure your wrist.
